My mood

So, I've noticed since I've been changing things that I've been . . . grumpy. Chip says it's because I haven't had my usual amount of sugar to make me sweet :P Has anyone else felt different emotionally? Or maybe I'm just weird . . .

Relapse . . .

Okay, so I didn't do well this weekend. It was Taylor's birthday on Saturday, so I spent every waking moment Thursday-Saturday working on his party, the yard, cleaning the house . . . it was all I could do to shower, let alone eat well and excercise.
Saturday evening came and I realized I'd lost every single point except for one: no caffeine. So, with a "go out with a bang" mindset, I got myself a Squirt. Zero points for Saturday. Trying to recover today and get back on track. Wish me luck!

I'm a believer in the 'don't eat after 7' thing.  It's not fun to do, but I feel so much better at bedtime and in the morning.  Call me crazy, but my pants feel a tiny bit better today.  I'll probably find out that I just haven't washed them since the last time I wore them  :)     Down 6 pounds!!!

Getting Started

Well, I'm doing this thing a little differently than the chart my mom sent out. This isn't about weight for me for two reasons: I'm in a healthy weight range for my height, and I just don't want to have to check the scale every day. For me, this is about establishing healthy routines. I also just want to be in better shape, as I still haven't recovered from having Taylor :P
With that in mind, I'm not going to make a weight goal. Instead, I'm going to set a point goal based on the points I'm actually going for, like the exercising, fruits and veggies, water, etc. I'm not totally eliminating sugar, but I'm being more careful. This week I've done pretty well. I've been getting my fruits and veggies and water every day, and I play Just Dance in "Just Sweat" mode (which is awesome!) every night, followed by yoga on my Wii Fit. I think I overworked my back a little on Tuesday, so I didn't exercise Wednesday night. But so far, so good!

So, how has your week been?  Mine had successes and failures.  Started out pretty good on Tuesday, but got sick Tuesday night - something I ate!  And I wouldn't count that as a good weight loss tip - it's fast but pretty drastic!  Down 4 pounds Thursday morning.  Obeying all the rules, but this week was Teacher Appreciation Week - lots of goodies every day - and today I succumbed to the chocolates they sent home.  Considering all the junk that's been flying around, I consider that a qualified success.
